The dog days of summer are truly upon us now. Before the miserable heat set in, we took advantage of the autumn-like weather last week to have a company field trip. We put on our hats and walking shoes and headed over to the Kansas City Zoo.
It was World Elephant Day, and we spent a while with the wonderful zoo docents learning all about the African elephant.
After a breezy boat ride, a tour through the monkey house, watching the hippos swim, and a relaxing (or fearful, for some) ride on the sky safari, we treated ourselves to some ice cream before heading back to the office.
All in a day’s work, eh?
