Paychecks

The LandaJob pay period is Monday-Sunday. Employees fill out weekly time sheets, which their supervisor signs to confirm agreement with number of hours worked. Time sheets may be faxed or sent to the LandaJob offices, but they must be received no later than 10 a.m. Monday following a given pay period or the check will not be issued until the following week. They may choose to fax on Friday afternoon. Paychecks are sent out on the Friday following the Monday-Sunday pay period. New time sheets are enclosed with every paycheck.

Invoicing

Invoices are sent to you at the first part of each week for the preceding week. Payment terms are net 10 days.

Overtime Pay

If the employee works over 40 hours in a seven day pay period (Monday-Sunday), their pay rate is time-and-one-half on those hours over 40 per federal wage and hour guidelines.

Holiday/Vacation Pay

LandaJob pays all holiday and vacation salaries.

Hiring

At LandaJob, our only product is making connections between companies and candidates. Because that is the case, clients (including all departments and subsidiaries) cannot directly or indirectly employ any LandaJob temporary employee on a temporary, freelance, project or permanent basis, until after 2,080 hours have been worked through LandaJob for that client, unless pro-rated fees are paid.

Temp-to-Hire

If you hire a LandaJob temporary employee on a temporary, freelance, project or permanent basis before 2,080 hours have been worked, the standard fee will be assessed at 25% of the new hire's compensation for the first year. That amount will then be discounted by a percentage based on temporary hours worked by that person through LandaJob for you. If you hire after 2,080 hours, there is no fee.

Guarantee

Our guarantee is 90 days from date-of-hire. The exercise of that guarantee will be contingent upon on-time payment in full. If we're notified during the guarantee period that the hire is not satisfactory, we will replace the person.

Injury-on-the-Job

Call LandaJob immediately. We'll give you specific instructions. All employees are covered under our worker's compensation plan.

Outside Expenses

Project-related outside expenses (photography, courier, copies, etc.) will only be incurred with your prior consent and will be billed at net cost.

Ownership of Work

Work undertaken during the course of a temporary assignment is the sole property of you, the client company. This includes designs, layouts, concepts, copy, plans, strategies and all materials prepared on the client's behalf, whether executed or not. Copies for temporary employees' portfolios may be requested. All client information is to be treated by LandaJob temporary employees as proprietary and confidential.

Liability Agreement

The client company bears the ultimate responsibility for errors and omissions. It's your responsibility for final proofreading/approval of all materials produced by LandaJob employees prior to production/publication/broadcast. The client agrees to hold LandaJob and its employees harmless for any loss or liability arising from the performance of the employee's duties.

Operating Vehicles

The client will not allow a LandaJob employee to operate machinery or a vehicle without prior specific written consent from LandaJob. The client will hold LandaJob and its temporary employees harmless from any loss or liability arising from the operation of client's equipment, machinery or vehicles.

Safety Laws

The client must comply with all occupational safety and health laws and regulations.

Handling Valuables

Client will not allow LandaJob employees to handle cash, negotiables or other valuables or to be entrusted with otherwise unattended premises unless a specific exception to this provision is made in writing by LandaJob. Any claims of employee dishonesty or misconduct must be reported to LandaJob within five business days of occurrence. Client further agrees to cooperate fully in the investigation and prosecution of such claim. Client shall not advance cash or valuables to a LandaJob employee and waives any right that it might claim to offset or recoup any such advances actually made against any amount owed to LandaJob.
