What kind of jobs can your temporary employees do?
Just as in permanent positions, they work in any and every
niche in advertising, marketing, communications, public relations,
and
graphic design -- from entry to supervisor level.

How do you determine how much you're going to charge my
company per hour? How do you determine what you're going to pay
the employee?
Your bill rate is determined by typical salary ranges for
the job, what our candidate is willing to work for, what the
market dictates
and whatever budgetary considerations you may have. Temporary
employees' pay rate ranges are negotiated with them based on
their abilities
and market value of those abilities.

Why is there such a big difference in what the temporary
employee is paid and what my company is billed?
At first glance,
the difference may seem large. But, as the employer of
the temporary
employee, we are responsible for all
payroll taxes,
including FICA and Medicare matching federal and state
unemployment, workers’ compensation, liability
insurance, HR and administrative costs and benefits
for our employees.

Can I terminate our agreement or replace a candidate at
any time?
You can end the assignment at any time. However, please try
to give a good time-frame estimate at the beginning of the assignment
because temporary employees adjust their schedules to commit
to your
request. If the candidate is not working out for you, let us
know and we'll work with you to solve the problem.

Do I sign a contract with LandaJob?
You sign a weekly time card that states all LandaJob policies
and serves as our agreement with you. You sign only for work
already done.

How do you choose the candidates from your temporary roster
for my job? Can I interview them and see portfolios?
We have a rigorous screening/testing process and we match
to your desired criteria and the candidates' availability. You
can see resumes,
do phone screening or interview in person. Portfolios will be
provided to you upon request.

-
How much notice do I have to give you when I need your
services?
We'd love a week to two weeks' notice, but we can turn your
request around in a day depending on your needs and who's available.

Since these folks are legally LandaJob employees, what
does your company provide for them? Do they pay you for placing
them?
There is no fee to our candidates. We provide weekly pay,
401(k), paid holidays and vacation days.

-
Are these freelancers or are they looking for a job?
They are both. If you have a job that might require ongoing
needs, we will try to make freelancers available to you. Either
way, we'll make you aware of their status and the candidate will
commit up-front to the time frame you've specified.

What if the temporary employee finds a permanent job and
has to leave the assignment with my company?
If, for some reason,
the temporary employee has to leave, we ask them for two
weeks’ notice so that the transition is
as seamless for you as possible. Our temporary employees
rarely are unable to complete assignments that they've
committed to.

What if I want to hire this person to a permanent job
later?
We will assist both the temporary employee and you to bring
about a mutually satisfactory arrangement. Our permanent placement
fee will be discounted by the amount of time the employee has
been with you. Our standard guarantee is 90 days from date of
hire,
contingent upon on-time payment in full. If we're notified that
the hire is not satisfactory during the guarantee period, we
will replace the person.

What about confidentiality? What about ownership of art/product?
The temporary employee's agreement with LandaJob extensively
covers all confidentiality issues, including ownership of work
done. All materials produced by the temporary employee during
their tenure with you are the sole property of your company.

What info do you need from me for you to find the right
potential temporary employee?
Take time up-front to give the most information possible.
That will help us make the best match. We need to know specifically
what type of work they'll be doing, what software/hardware they'll
use, what the environment is like and budget issues.
