How much does working with you cost me?
There is no cost to
you. Our clients hire us and pay us to find matches for their
needs in permanent and temporary positions.
top
-
How do you determine how much you're going
to pay me per hour?
The bill rate of the company is determined
by what the client
would pay someone internally to do the same job, what you
would be willing to work for, what the market dictates, and budgetary
considerations.
Your pay rate range is negotiated based on your abilities
and market value of those abilities.

What happens after I send my resume to you?
You will receive a postcard or email confirming that we have received
your resume. Your resume information will be input into our database.
It is then circulated to recruiters who specialize in your skill
set. They will determine whether to contact you (by phone) based
on the searches they are currently conducting for clients and those
they expect to be conducting in the near future. At that point, you
may be called in for a face-to-face interview.Your resume remains
in our database for two years. Send us an updated resume if you change
jobs or expand your skill set to make sure we have your most current
information on file.
top
-
Should I send you different resumes for different
kinds of jobs?
Send a general resume in the beginning and note, in the cover
letter, that different versions exist. You may be asked later to
revise or re-focus your resume.
top
-
Should I send my portfolio with my resume?
If you are scheduled for an interview, always bring your portfolio.
Otherwise, you can submit 3 to 4 non-returnable samples of your best
work with your resume.

What are the benefits of working as a temporary
employee?
Many advertising and marketing professionals choose temporary
work to supplement income, increase skills, broaden experience, establish
networking contacts, determine the desirability of a particular work
environment, and improve a portfolio or resume.
If you are between jobs, temporary employment can provide income
during your search for a permanent position -- and it can even lead
to permanent employment. For freelancers, temporary jobs relieve
the burdens of tax accounting, finding new clients, provide a paycheck
the week after work is completed, and payment for each and every
hour worked.

How do you select who goes on the LandaJob
temporary employee roster?
We interview possible temporary employees based upon our most
current needs and what we project to be future needs in the marketplace.
top
-
Once on the roster, how do you determine what
types of jobs to call me for and how often will you call?
We call you when your
skill set best matches the temporary job requests from our
clients. Depending on the marketplace, you may
receive many calls for short assignments, you may receive
one call that will put you in a position for a longer period
of time, or there
may be times when your skills are not requested from our
clients.

-
Can I keep looking for a permanent job if I'm working on
a temporary job for you?
Yes However, if you
accept a temporary position from us, you are expected to stay
for the length of the assignment and, of course,
do personal business off the clock. We do understand that
things happen, but we ask that you work with us to make our
clients happy
and to make sure you don't burn any bridges. We expect
the standard minimum of two weeks notice if you have to leave.
top
-
If I'm on your temporary roster or I take a temporary
job, will you still consider me for permanent positions?
Absolutely. That's a major advantage of working with LandaJob
-- we work with both temporary and permanent positions, and we
will consider you for both. However, if you accept a temporary
position
from us, you are expected to stay for the length of the assignment
to which you originally committed.
top
-
If I'm working for you, can I continue to
do freelance work?
Yes, but many of our assignments are full time, on-site, during
business hours. So, when you accept the position, your freelance
work should be done outside that time frame.
top
-
What if I turn down a temporary job that you
offer me?
We understand that from time to time, you will not be available.
If we find that you are repeatedly unavailable, we'll come to a mutually
agreeable solution with you.
top
-
Does LandaJob offer part-time or off-site
assignments?
Sometimes -- but most of our clients need on-site, full-time commitments
for a day or longer.
top
-
If you haven't called me in a while, should
I check in with you?
Feel free to call, if we haven't spoken in a while, to update
your status and to re-connect. But if we have an assignment that's
a fit, we'll call.
top
-
Will LandaJob notify me before submitting
my resume to a client?
Yes, LandaJob will always ask your permission before submitting
your resume. It's your responsibility to let us know if you've already
submitted your resume or other application materials to a particular
company.
top
-
How confidential is my relationship with
LandaJob?
You can trust that we will keep your search strictly confidential,
and that your resume and name will not be shared with others unless
you have given us permission to do so.
