LandaJob 2008 Salary and Benefits Market Guide Between January and March, LandaJob gathered data from both corporate and agency employers in the Kansas City advertising and marketing community. The project's purpose was to identify up-to-date salary ranges and benefits, and to measure employee satisfaction in a number of key areas. Did you know... Agencies surveyed in the Kansas City market expect to increase their headcounts this year an average of 7.4%. Participating employers included agencies and corporations of varying sizes, and included corporate marketing and communications departments, full-service advertising, public relations and specialty agencies, and design firms. Over 100 job titles were covered, from traditional ones in marketing communications, account management, and creative to emerging specialties in interactive marketing. Did you know... Over 2/3 Kansas City corporate marketing/communications and agency employers surveyed report being "very satisfied" with the quality of their workforce. Employers were also invited to include their employees, to gain knowledge about the perceived value of their benefits as well as components of job satisfaction. Did you know... Agency employees tend to value their healthcare benefits more highly than corporate employees, who place the highest value on their paid time off. An extra component of the project surveyed freelancers for current information on hourly rates as well as other information about the Kansas City freelance talent pool. Did you know... 90% of Kansas City freelancers surveyed have a moderate to high level of satisfaction in their work, and well over half would recommend freelancing to others.
